This is a qualifying meet.

Your swimmer must participate in Divisionals to be eligible to participate.

The results from the six divisional meets are combined as if it were one meet to identify the fastest swimmers in each event and age group out of all of the SAIL teams. These top 40 swimmers in each event and age group then compete in a county-wide meet: Classics (top 16 swimmers) and Championships (next fastest 24 swimmers) the weekend after Divisionals. The 16 fastest team relays also compete in Classics (top 8) and Championships (next 8 fastest relays).

To be eligible to swim in Divisionals the swimmer must have swum in 2 dual meets during the season.

Your swimmer must participate in Divisionals to be eligible to participate Championships and Classics. Parents will select 3 individual events for each swimmer, but coaches have final discretion for Divisional events and will discuss any changes from your election with your swimmer. We are only allowed to enter an "A" relay unlike dual meets and these entries are computer-generated based on the fastest times.

• TEAM WARM UPS: Please arrive by 4:30 for warm up from 4:45 – 5:15pm.
• OFFICIALS: Report at 5:15 pm. First-half officials report on deck. Please review the attached volunteer assignments! All questions regarding volunteer assignments should be directed to Mona Cooper ([email protected]) or Rebecca Foss Rebecca Foss ([email protected]).
• VOLUNTEERS: Report at 5:15 pm. First-half volunteers & timers report on deck. All volunteers should assemble under the tan awning by the Volunteer Board on the pool deck no later than thirty minutes prior to meet start time. To access the volunteer area enter the main pool gate, pass the diving boards, and circle the pool towards the tan awnings. Review the attached volunteer assignments! • MEET START: 5:30pm.
• PARKING/SWIMMER DROP OFF: Primary parking for the swim meet will be along the street on Thornblade Blvd and adjacent roads. Secondary parking will be the main Thornblade Clubhouse parking lot. Any handicapped persons that cannot ride the shuttle will be permitted to use the drop off area located at the pool parking lot entrance. Please respect the “No Parking” signs in the Thornblade neighborhood since the public county road must maintain continuous emergency vehicle access. The Greenville County Sheriff’s Department will tow cars parked in a “No Parking” zone at the owner’s expense. We hope you will understand this is not a Thornblade Club controlled area but subject to the County. Swimmers should be dropped off at the pool prior to parking in the clubhouse parking lot. To drop off your swimmer at the pool, please enter Thornblade neighborhood on Meilland Drive and take a right on Thornblade Blvd. The pool will be at the bottom of the hill on the right. Please stop at the entrance to the parking lot to allow the swimmers to exit the car
• SWIMMER AREA: SFST Swimmers will be located at the top of the pool parking lot in the circle. They will access the pool by using the stairs that lead from the swimmer’s area directly into the Clerk of Course on the pool deck. These steps are not a public access to the pool and are reserved for swimmers only! The primary restrooms are located on the upper level of the Pool / Tennis center with alternate restrooms adjacent to the Clerk of Course off the pool deck. To access to the primary restrooms from the visiting team area, use the sidewalk towards the tennis courts.
• CONCESSIONS: Thornblade Club will provide dinner located under the awning, in front of the Grill. The menu will include a variety of items. Card is required for purchases.
• SEVERE WEATHER PLAN: In the event of severe weather, we will follow SAIL’s Severe Weather Policy. If we clear the deck, everyone will be asked to return to their cars. We will email/text you when swimmers can return to the pool area. (Be sure to enable the SwimTopia text alerts)
• SWIMMER ENTRIES: There are no deck changes to a swimmer's events.A swimmer may only scratch. Relays are computer generated based on the fastest times. Please notify Coach Hunter if your swimmer will miss an event or cannot participate in their assigned relay.

• HEAT SHEETS: Heat sheets will not be available for purchase at the meet! Please save the heat sheet to your device, use the SwimTopia App or print a copy prior to the meet.
• SEATING: Guests may utilize seating on the pool deck or the hill overlooking the pool in order to view the meet. The pool deck will have space available for chairs located around the pool deck as well as standing room viewing around the shallow end of the pool. Please keep the area around the chef’s station and the hill near the playground clear.
